THE MOON VERSUS THE CONSTELLATIONS
Sometimes it’s useful to look at things in such a way as not to see the forest for the trees, and sometimes you can try not to see individual trees behind the forest. In his «Travel Diary of a Philosopher», Hermann Keyserling describes a similar experiment: he tries to look at the stars, avoiding combining them into constellations. This is difficult, because even here we are confronted by cultural conditioning: when we look up, we immediately see dishes and some bears, rather than the stars themselves. This is how we look at each other too, categorising those around us by nationality and rank.
Let’s call «constellations» artificially constructed group «logoi», collective identities. The sovereignty of individual stars implies an alliance of individuals who recognise the supremacy of the law of the Moon, which reflects the solar light of the original Logos, but does not claim objectivity. Moonlight is a conventional truth, conditional, existing for the common good of the bearers of personal light. Everyone has their own law, subject to the rules of conventional Law.
Constellations, i.e. collective identities, whether they be nations, «civilisations», cultures or group identities of minorities and majorities, should not impose their logic and their group law on individual stars. At night, the Moon reigns, not the constellations. Argus should remain an unstructured scattering of stars, it should not fall apart into isolated groups of views.
At night, the truth of infinity is revealed. And this is not only spatial infinity, but also the infinity of interpretations.
During the day, under the sun, a person was in the womb of his tradition. The day is the womb, illuminated by a single star. For some, this star was the good news, for others — the dharma of the Buddha, for still others — the law of the prophet Muhammad, for yet others — the teachings of Darwin and scientific objectivity. The night gives birth us to absolute relativism, and all these teachings, which existed for local communities as an absolute source of light, turn out to be equal participants in the night community, the visual organs of Argus. They are all important, but their position has changed. We cannot ignore the equality of all stars, even if we prefer one of them. Moreover, relativism does not deprive us of the right to preferences, and the Moon, i.e. universal legal and ecological consciousness, helps us coexist in a single cosmic space, under all the stars. Only constellations (from constellatio — «constellation»), i.e. group identities offering isolationism, are dangerous. Constellations are impostors who want to take on the function of the inaccessible Sun.
ENOCHIANISM
Stellar constellations are a kind of political Enochianism. For example, the so-called geopolitics is very suitable for the implementation of the tasks of Enochian magic, which was created by the British natural philosopher and alchemist John Dee together with the mystic Edward Kelley. They developed a special alphabet, with the help of which they created prayers and spells to summon a certain kind of angels. This practice is associated with the apocryphal «Book of Enoch».
In the Nineteenth Enochian Key, the following explanation is found: «The Earth shall be governed by parts of it, and there shall be a division in it, so that its glory may be intoxicated and constrained forever. Its course shall turn (or run) after the heavens, and it shall serve them as a maidservant. One season shall overthrow another, and there shall be no creatures on it or in its bowels similar to each other. All its members shall differ in their properties, and there shall not be one creature equal to another. The reasonable creatures of the earth, humans, shall oppress and exterminate each other; and their dwellings shall forget their names. The labours of man and his magnificence shall be erased».
The occult teaching of Enochian magic is akin to Gnosticism: here the Earth is «cursed for its audacity», it is considered a goddess who offers parts of her own body to the souls of people, thus allowing them to incarnate in the material world.
We can exclude any mysticism from the concept of «Enochianism», paying attention only to the essential principle of this phenomenon: certain forces want to divide the Earth so that the Earth and humanity do not achieve magnificence and true power. In Enochian magic, this is done by a certain group of angels who hate humans. A magician can enter into an alliance with these entities to gain power, but in exchange for this, he must become a conduit for destructive, dividing energies.
Features of Enochianism are found in geopolitics, which divides the Earth into land and sea. Halford John Mackinder, Karl Haushofer and Karl Schmitt, highlighting the irreconcilable features of maritime and land civilisations, brought about a split in the Earth itself, denying the commonality of its inhabitants. But now this commonality does not require proof — we live in a single ecological space. The ocean suffers no less than the soil. So the politics of nature wins over Enochianism.
We inhabit a single environment that has survived a total attack of modernity in all its zones. The Earth does not know regions free from the influence of science and technology — everything has undergone changes, and often these are deplorable changes, although one of the numerous species of living beings began to feel much better, but this is a temporary phenomenon, because the necessary resources that support the prosperity of this species will soon run out, if a global environmental catastrophe does not happen first. Therefore, the former geopolitics based on division, Enochian politics, is no longer possible — it has been cancelled by common interests, and they unite all living beings and all landscapes, not just humanity.
New geo-politics is the planetary politics of nature. The concept of «civilisation» does not have a plural, as it is a universal process of turning the bowels inside out. Civilisation is oil production and the removal of ore from the depths of the earth. These processes exist above state borders: turning the Earth inside out is carried out simultaneously in all parts of the planet. Even war cannot stop the established movement of oil and gas.
If we think of the Earth as a living organism, then oil appears in the form of excretal or vomit matter enveloping the entire planet. And this emetic unity is much more significant than all cultural differences.
WAR AND THE OUTER WORLD
One can think of modernity as the seizure of the world garden by Gnostic slaves, who perceive this garden as a prison, rather than as their законных владениях. Are we prisoners of this world or its princes? — this is the question-insecticide for the крестовик spider. «To be „without self-love“ — this is what all these cowards and крестовик spiders, tired of the world, would like…» says Zarathustra. What does it mean to be «without self-love»? What does it mean in the modern situation?
The scientific and technical civilisation of a slave, freed from the rule of the master thanks to technology and enterprise (according to Hegel), having abandoned the sense of self-worth and self-love, turns the Earth into one big dump. In this context, the green agenda unfolds in an unusual perspective: aesthetic, aristocratic and Nietzschean.
Nietzsche denies the Christian eschaton, transformed in modernist civilisation into utopian projects. In the context of the eschaton, nothing is important in this reality, this reality is not the flesh of a dancing deity, but only a temptation that should be rejected. Modernists, like Gnostics, only tolerate the current state of being, awaiting a radical change. And in this context, National Socialism and Bolshevism were absolutely anti-Nietzschean, Christian-Gnostic projects, since they were radically modernist.
We know that Nietzsche himself had many reasons to hate earthly existence and the whole world, but Nietzsche’s spirit was strong enough to move contrary to physical conditionality. Despite his poor eyesight, Nietzsche was always an observant philosopher: his work depended on the area in which he lived, he always highly valued the external and entered into real erotic relationships with the external, the result of which were his texts.
In the context of this fact, one can wonder whether in our time Zarathustra Nietzsche would repeat his words: «The good of war sanctifies every purpose»? Let’s ask differently: would Zarathustra call «war» this strange action, which quite rightly is forbidden to call war?
NIGHT VS OIL
The main conflict in the new situation of metamodernism is the collision of two kinds of darkness. The sun with its light obscured the boundlessness of the starry space. Only at night does everything become visible. And this seeing, sparkling and shining darkness of the night, full of sounds, lights and animals, manifesting the whole world as a whole, confronts another darkness — oil, infernal, chthonic, excretal.Argus, watching his mother Gaia from above, sees her torment, her nausea, her illness. The world of plastic, all petroleum products, and an economy based on oil production are nothing but embodied, materialized resentment: oil production is the revenge of a slave, a voluntaristic spit at natural superiority. All the offensive splendor of nature and culture can be defeated by a mass of combustible sewage alone. This is what the historical triumph of a slave looks like. And in this situation, there is no longer a Greek and a Jew, a Mason and a Catholic, a Nietzschean and a Christian, a Buddhist and a Vedantist, a predator and an herbivore: there are only, on the one hand, people loyal to the Earth, the princes of this world, and on the other hand, modern people, catacomb slaves, Manichaeans who slander this world, the Enochians, who do not want humanity to achieve true domination.
